Ride the Sooner State

Welcome to a web site and magazine devoted to motorcycling in Oklahoma. Having been an avid motorcyclist since 1978, I wanted to develop a site and magazine where riders could meet, organize rides, and learn all about the diverse motorcycling opportunities available right here in our sooner state. A few years ago, I purchased a dual sport motorcycle for adventure touring. I didn't know anyone else around who shared my passion for backroads touring, so I started a web site called www.okdualsport.com. This allowed me to meet a large number of like-minded individuals and share riding experiences all across Oklahoma. Now I want to expand that experience to other forms of two wheeled adventure here in our state.

To me all motorcycles and motorcyclists are fun. I have never subscribed to the "us vs them" mentality that is sometimes seen in motorcycling. My motto is "if it has two wheels, it's gotta be good." I support all types of riders and their choices, from Harley Davidsons to metric cruisers to touring bikes, dirt riders, and sport bikes, even scooters. Heck, if everyone liked the same thing I liked, then bike night at the local tavern would have a very boring parking lot!

Our first magazine edition will be published in February 2007. My goal is to highlight all types of riders, their equipment, and the places to ride across Oklahoma. We will include stories on poker runs, off-road racing events, long distance touring, observed trials, bike nights, flat track racing, anything that has to do with motorcycling in Oklahoma. The magazine will be published every two months and available via subscription and at your local bike store.
