New R1200GS and GSA for 2010!

Oh man, Daddy wants. Daddy wants bad (but what else is new, eh?). Complete details -- more horsepower, dual overhead cams, new valve config, new exhaust valve for "manly sound," and so on -- are probably at BMW's website.

I want the yellow. I want the yellow. Oh God, I want the yellow. It's like a big adventure banana, I tell ya...

Edited to add some more photos and specs.

The main features of the 2010 BMW R 1200 GS at a glance:

Talimena Drive

This past weekend, Danny, Kim, and I embarked on our second annual "We Don't Know Where We're Going" Tour. We wound up in Arkansas again and had a fantastic time. Danny and Kim were on their brand new shiny red 2008 BMW R1200GS Adventure. I was mounted on my Triumph Tiger. Returning home Sunday morning, we rode the Talimena Scenic Byway, that twisty stretch of pavement between Mena, Arkansas and Talihina, Oklahoma. The sun was shining and it was about 45 degrees -- perfect weather to shoot some video.

Thanks for a great weekend, Danny and Kim!

Lust is an Ugly Thing (BMW's new F800GS)

I don't know ... I've been thinking, after the Hypermotard, my next object of desire would be the R1200GS Adventure, especially after seeing the new 2008 model in red. Now I'm not so sure. I mean, just look at the all new F800GS in yellow (revealed in Milan this past weekend). Oh my...

Of course, the R1200GS Adventure is awful purty too...

What a decision to have to make, eh? The future's so bright, shades are not enough ... not nearly enough...
