Edmond Police schedule civilian motorcycle education course

Each year the Edmond Police Department trains approximately 240 civilian riders on motorcycle safety skills. The course was developed by the Edmond PD and approved by the Department of Public Safety. The lesson plan is based upon skills used by the motorcycle officers and typically runs six hours long.
Classes are scheduled for April 20 in Edmond at the city’s regional fire training site, located at I-35 and Covell at Fire Station 5. It will be held May 11 in Ponca City, and plans are being finalized for a June 1 class in Stillwater.
